Yaffa’s Dijon- Silan chicken

This recipe is my sister’s. We are so different in cooking. She is slow and I am very fast. She is particular about every thing and I am more laid-back. She is very serious about every step and I am willing to improvise and experiment. Nevertheless, she is a phenomenal cook.

  • 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard , smooth

  • 8 chicken thighs or drumsticks

  • 1 tbsp seeded mustard 

  • 3 tbsp. silan (date syrup) 

  • 1 tsp. Coarse salt 

  • 1 tsp. black pepper 

  • ⅓ cup water 

  • 2 tbsp. olive oil 

  • 1 garlic bulb

  1. Preheat the oven (400°)

  2. Mix all of the ingredients well.

  3. Put in a cooking bag and bake for an hour (400°) till the chicken is brown and well roasted.
